This year the Hungarian feast of beers has a lot more to offer. The festival awaits its guests for a day longer - between 29th August and 2nd September - in a larger space, presenting nearly 200 different local and international, popular and less-known special beer types.

sorfeszt_kep_1Buda Castle Beer Festival returns in a larger space, lasts longer, and offers more specialties of beers

The feast of beers returns with a wider selection of the finest beers than last year. The largest domestic beer manufacturers will represent themselves with their beer specialties, and twice as many small local breweries will present their scarcities at the festival than last year. The visitors will also have the opportunity to taste all the imported beer brands, amongst them Bohemian, German, English, Belgian and Irish specialties.

Nothing can be more important than beer at the Beer Festival, however, 40 concerts and 120 well-known foreign and Hungarian performers will also contribute to the fantastic feeling of the Festival. Visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy the concerts Joe Cocker Cover Band and Paddy & The Rats among many more.

The visitors can taste beer from a unique beer mug (0,4 L, cost 600 HUF) which they can decide to keep or to return after the tasting. The unitary price of a pint of beer (dependant from the brand) can be: 400 HUF, 500 HUF, or 900 HUF. Another novelty of this year is a taster mug (0,2 L), designed for those beer-fans who would like to taste more specialties of beer without getting tipsy soon.

The compelling Buda Castle will host the festival, where the events will take place at three locations: Hunyadi square and Oroszlános square, and from this year Savoy terrace.
