For the third time International Chamber Music Festival (Kaposfest) awaits you with colourful programmes and unique performances of excellent virtuosos of the world.

Kaposfest - International chamber Music Festival 14-20 August, 2012

Katalin Kokas
“Our goal is to line up the world’s top musicians of classical music every year.” - says György Bolyki, manager of the festival, and also a member of Bolyki Brothers, and a cellist of Ferenc Erkel Chamber Orchestra. “40-50 soloists will step on stage during the festival, and they will form small bands spontaneously. Every production is unique and never heard before.” - says Bolyki. The most interesting part of the festival is the one time cooperation of different musicians. “The unrepeatable common play of these soloists sure is a rarity.” - says Katalin Kokas, the art director of the event, and a famous violin player. Naturally, she will play on the Stradivarius-violin every time, she will be on stage.

There will be also popular music concerts, but these musicians represent the best of their genre, and the audience as well as the musicians usually like them. Did you see Zoltán Kocsis dancing on a Joshua Bell funky party?” - says Bolyki and smiling.

Beside the concerts there will be contemporary art and movie programmes too. Over and above you can take a bike trip around the Lake Deseda or have some fun at Virágfürdő experience bath. “The audience of Kaposfest claims the top quality tourism. Most of them moving to Kaposvár for the time of the event, and our mission is to provide them high quality programmes during these days. Last year visitors listened 18 concerts in 9 days and when they leaved, they said, how pity it is over.” - tells György Bolyki.
