Exhibition of medical SPA history opened in Hévíz
Visitors can explore the 2000 years old history of the Lake of Hévíz and the curing methods around it from the conformation of the Lake to the modern techniques and therapies of present days.
The oldest piece of the exhibition is a 1500 years old ceramic vessel, but there is an English language book written by Richard Brighton and was offered to the count György Festetics, owner of the lake in 1818.
Beside the pieces the exhibition has a multimedia part too. You can watch videos, read about famous doctors’ life who were curing there, there are books and posters just to give you every information about this unique city of health. The full exhibition is translated to English and German languages, and headphones are available for foreign visitors.
