Turandot on Margaret Island!

A great summer premiere at the Open-air Theatre is one of the most popular works of Puccini. Turandot is revived on the Margaret Island with a spectacular presentation.

Not only for opera lovers!

Perhaps the most beautiful and most popular opera tale tells the story of the unapproachable Princess Turandot, who becomes a sensitive and loving woman by the touch of love. The show features a large symphony orchestra and choir. Leading roles are played by the biggest Hungarian and International stars.

The role of Turandot is sung by Gyöngyi Lukács. She is a soloist of the Hungarian State Opera House and a guest artist with many of the world's leading opera houses. The most important stages of her career: in Vienna, Berlin, Hamburg, Cologne, Munich, London, Milan and the Festivals of Salzburg and Edinburgh. Her partners on stage were Plácido Domingo, Samuel Ramey, Leo Nucci, Dolora Zajick, José Cura.

Rubens Pelizzari performes the role of Calaf. He is a permanent guest artist of the Arena di Verona and other opera houses in Europe. His main roles: Mario Cavaradossi, Ismaele, Radames, Manrico, Pollione, Alvaro, Don José, Calaf.

After the unconventional performance, Rubens Pelizzari is going to sing the role of Calaf in Tokio in November 2012, conducted by Zubin Mehta.

New Pier Opens at the Margaret Island: Open-air Theatre and Water Tower

If you already have your ticket, your date and the show, you can still top it all up with a cruise.

Taking our ships is the fastest way to get to and from Margaret Island.

The departure time of the ships ent in every pier. Ships are starting to come back 20 minutes after the end of performance. Please check out the detailed schedule!
